A look at 1A Private GHSA Semi Finals

Prince Avenue rolled up 38 points on ELCA last Friday. Wesleyan should play them closer, but 5 Star SR QB Brock Vandagriff is putting up big numbers.

And he has some supporting players.

Wesleyan has one 2 Star player SR OL Tanner Bivins committed to Army.

The other side of the bracket may be a better matchup. Calvary Day travels to play Trinity Christian. 

Calvary Day has two FCS players:

And Trinty Christian has a JR 3 Star QB David Dallas.

Who would like to see a good QB matchup in the finals?

A look at Lowndes vs. Milton

A 9-1 Lowndes team travels to take on 11-0 Milton in third round 7A GHSA playoff action tonight. The talent levels are balanced, but first let's look at the schedules.

The lone blemish on the Viking's record is a 40-10 beat down in Moultrie on November 6.

Milton schedule:

The only common opponent the teams have faced is Archer. Lowndes beat them 35-21 in the first game of the season, Milton beat them 17-9 last week. I think that is called symmetry.

The talent levels are also pretty close, but tilted towards Lowndes.

Lowndes JR QB Jacurri Brown is a 4 Star dual threat player. He is 6'4" and 205 pounds.

Milton's top talent is JR 4 Star TE Jack Nickel who has committed to Notre Dame.

Lee County should handle River Ridge

In third round 6A GHSA football action Lee County appears to be the more talented team against River Ridge. The Trojan staff does an excellent job marketing their players for the next level.

Senior 3 Star RB Caleb McDowell fielded 16 scholarship offers and has verbally committed to South Carolina while SR 3 Star WR Chauncey Magwood is going to Kentucky. SR 3 Star LB Baron Hopson has 10 offers including Indiana, Michigan and Nebraska, however he appears to be leaning towards Georgia Tech.

Lee County 2021 college prospects

The highest rated player on the team is JR 4 Star LB Jaron Willis who already has 15 offers. Tech appears to be his top choice at the moment.

River Ridge has no players rated at or above 3 Stars.

He's back... after landing the job as head coach of the Valdsota Wildcats, drama queen and overall personal train wreck Rush Probst enters the third round of the GHSA 6A playoffs on the road against a tough Carrollton team. The talent level appears to be be a good matchup.

Valdosta's top rated player is 4 Star Junior DB JaDarian Rhym who has offers from big time programs.

Carrollton's highest rated player is 4 Star Senior OLB Chaz Chambliss who is going to Georgia.

How should a NL team build their roster... with a DH like Ozuna... or with a rookie Pache? 

The DH as a barganing chip.

Until the league decides this the Braves are in limbo and this is the offense without Duval and Ozuna.

Grayson talent vs. Harrison talent

Victory isn't always assured to the more talented team, but you'd be a fool not to notice a chasm this large.

Check out the 3 star and above talent on the Grayson roster and their college choices - Georgia Tech, Clemson, Florida and the grand prize of 4 star QB Jake Garcia just decommitted from USC. Where will he land? Meanwhile Harrison has one player headed to Vandy.

If this matchup comes down to college level talent, Lowndes will win. According to Rivals the Vikings have players committed to Kent State, Lousiville, Tennessee Tech, Vanderbilt (Not a kicker), and Miami. And that is the 2021 class. Their highest rated player is 4 star QB Jacurri Brown
